Still very satisfied with recent the decision to open a gallery at 500px.com. Pictures are quite well appreciated over there and the picture above (taken some years ago in Kyoto, Japan) was chosen by the editors for there special gallery. That#s not bad taken into account that mostly only one picture is selected daily

New gallery @ 500px.com
About one week ago I opened a new gallery at 500px.com. You can find there about 20 of my images at the moment. Just have a look: 500px.com/manganite
500px is on the one hand a photo community like flickr and on the other hand it allows to sell your pictures as prints and multipurpose licenses. That’s great, but the best is maybe the overall quality of the pictures you can find there. It’s really amazing how difficult it is to find crap images there! From the photographers point of view it’s good to see your images between all that wonderful pictures
Fine-art prints
Recently I opened a gallery at fineartprint.de, a German online shop where you can order different kind of prints. Meanwhile you can find 10 of my images in my gallery over there.
So if you’re from Germany or one of the nearby countries, just have a look, maybe you find something interesting for you

The ever changing website…
And again I completely changed the organization and layout of my homepage/blog. After splitting it some time ago in two parts, a blog and a puristic photoblog, I now added a third part, a portfolio site.
Maybe you think something is wrong here and you’re right. This is the portfolio site, but obviously I still have to add something… Meanwhile have a look at the Photoblog or the Blog. The later one is almost finished and contains all the old blog entries, while I still have to fill in all the old entries to the photoblog.
Hope you like the new concept and stay tuned, soon everything will be finished (hopefully…)!
everything new
We did not only just moved recently to a new place, I also changed my blog/website a lot. The old address www.manganite.net now links to a more gallery style pure photoblog, while this blog with all the old entries you will find at www.manganite.net/theblog. I think it’s better to present the pictures in large size without all that clutter of a normal blog, hope you agree with me on that 
Of course this is not a final version, the whole thing is a never ending work in progress, but for now I think I’ll try it that way for a while…
manganite’s posterous
Today I copied most of my blog posts to my posterous blog at http://manganite.posterous.com/, just to have something in it right from the start. Maybe I'll keep both blogs in sync in the future or I'll use the posterous blog for some more general posts. Not sure what's the best solution…

Just submitted 14 new images to my portfolio at the Getty Flickr Collection. About 150 of my images are now available for licensing at Getty Images.

Above picture is another one in my series of cosplay portraits taken 2006 in Harajuku, Tokyo. And it was just selected to be shown on an exhibition organized by ipernity.com during the World Photography Festival in Cannes in April this year!
