that I took with the Nikkor 50mm 1.8. The look you get if you follow the person with your camera so that you have some motion blur on the background, while the person is in focus.
You also need a good place where you have enough light. Next to a shop window for example.
please could you tell me what camera and lense you used for his shot - it's amazing - and you know that other one of the two girls under the umbrella that everyone on flickr was commenting on - how did you capture that one so crisply? it's bloody amazing, I'm just learning, and i'd love to know how you managed to get it to look so filmic ... was it taken with a film camera or digital?

Today I copied most of my blog posts to my posterous blog at http://manganite.posterous.com/, just to have something in it right from the start. Maybe I'll keep both blogs in sync in the future or I'll use the posterous blog for some more general posts. Not sure what's the best solution…
